Did Murt get the shaft already?

Gallagher is getting the start tomorrow against LAA. Eric Patterson is already listed on the roster of Oakland's AAA affiliate (Sacramento), but Murton is not. EPatt and Murt are both listed on Oakland's 40-man roster however.

 

I realize it might be too early, but does anyone know the story? There hasn't even been anything on Rotoworld, and the only article I could find on the A's website was about Sean getting a tour of the locker room and ball park.

I know that they said that they planned on Murton and Patterson to head to AAA.

The A's have a LF platoon of Travis Buck, OPSing around .600 if that, and Emil Brown at around .650. Surely Murton can top that.

Ryan Sweeney left Thursday's game after three innings with a dislocated left pinkie.

 

Sweeney apparently injured his finger when he was caught stealing in the third. He has already faced a stint on the disabled list due to a left toe injury, and also recently missed three games with a sprained ankle. Rajai Davis replaced him in the outfield, and don't expect to see Sweeney before the All-Star break.
