Guys, I think if we all band together and mount a campaign to keep calling Jim Hendry, it will really increase our chances to get Harden. The sooner we call, the sooner the trade will happen. Clearly, Hendry doesn't know that we all want him to make a trade for a starter, so I think this campaign will really motivate him. And if any secretary tries to give you some bogus excuse like, "Mr. Hendry is in a meeting," berate her until you get through.

 

Oh, and please don't make fun of me. Chances are I'll have a life-threatening disease someday, and then you'll feel bad, won't you?

1) I'm sorry for your cancer and I hope you successfully fight it. I truly do. But...

 

2) Did you honestly expect everyone's response to your initial message to be "Way to go!" or "OMG that's AWESOME!" or "Holy crap, thanks so much!". You've been here long enough to know that no one was going to be receptive right out of the gate. You might have been grasping for straws on that one, it is quite a bit odd. The fact that you got so offended by it was puzzling, you should've known the reaction before even hitting "Submit" when you finished typing it. Like I said, I'm sorry for your cancer, I really am, but you shouldn't use your life threatening illness as a defense mechanism for making a silly post.

My kid's school had this fundraiser where they sent letters to people to ask for money. I didn't like the idea of them hitting up my relatives so we sent one to Jim Hendry.
