How the hell does this Red Sox team have such a good record?

They are missing Big Papi. That's a big loss.

Papi was hitting like .100 in April

EDIT: Oh and the Cards are missing their whole team

The Cardinals are blessed. Really are.

2nd time in 3 innings the BoSox have bases loaded with 1 out or less, and only get 1 run out of both occurences.

Just flat out luck, there are some Cardinal apologists out there who like to argue they're good but, simply it's luck, at some point this season it's going to turn on them.

I'm sensing a pattern here.

Boston has a prime scoring chance(s) in their half of the inning, but don't capitalize, and then Cards come right back and do capitalize on HRs.

5-3 T*Birds on a HR from a guy who got railroaded 5 days ago on a collision at home plate.

Errr, Molina DHing tonight is not same Molina who got ran over vs the Phillies last Sunday??

That's what I thought, thanks.

Haven't be paying attention to other teams; surprised that Molina is back playing so soon after that collision last Sunday. Looked very nasty, being carted off and all.

Brewers have the bases loaded with 2 outs in the 6th. Still down 7-5

And FatBoy up to bat, after new pitcher warms up. Great.

They leave one over the plate and it'll be 9-7 BadGuys.

Even Red Sox nation crumbles in the face of St. Louis pixie dust.

Orioles get out of it. I'll take a Crew loss over a Cards loss anyway. I'm convinced the Red Bird luck is starting to wane.

Coco Crisp sucks. Why would we be interested in him?

Because he knows how to look tough; while throwing a punch as he's falling down to avoid another man's punch??

....probably more like because teams desperate for help at a certain position tend to see something in a player that just isn't there.

They just got swept by the Royals....AT HOME! We are lucky KC played so well.

I know, "Its a long season, just one game, blah blah blah...".

But if I'm a BoSaux fan tonight, I'm a little perturbed. Multiple chances to put runs on the board, and you (looking like will) lose to a very banged up team, who is coming in after getting swept at home by KC. [And were honoring the WC Celtics with the unis in said game.]

Not to mention us Cubs fans hoping to see a little more distance put between ourselves and "them".

I feel ya, Bostonians. :(
