Basically he comes to the conclusion that it's one of two things causing the big home/road record splits in baseball.

 

1) No greenies

2) Flukish anomaly

 

I'm leaning towards #1.

Funny, I just noticed yesterday that there are only three teams over 500 on the road, Phillies, Cardinals & Angels, and was talking to a friend of mine about this.

 

Brad Ausmus got it right: it is a statistical anomaly. And the anomaly will correct itself -- just in time for the Cubs to play the majority of their games on the road :)
