Foxsports.com did a nice piece on Soto today, talking about how he went from marginal prospect to leading All Star votegetting Catcher with help from.....Koyie Hill?!?!

 

Slump or not, its good to see the emergence of someone from the Cubs farm system.

Kind makes me feel bad for Koyie Hill. It hyped him up as one of the key to Soto's success, and even he says he played a big role, and then Soto is like "No, not really. But Henry Blanco is the bomb!"

But all the quotes about Hill being a key to Soto's success....came from Hill. Not exactly an unbiased source, and since Soto himself is downplaying that, I'm not sure why Rosenthal decided to make that a large element in the story.
