3 of the guys in my house at school from Ganado TX said they were at a house party with him a few years ago. Didnt seem real impressed so the dbag label may be true.

Yeah my cousin's girlfriend's neighbor's sister once slept with him and said he was a real dbag.

Just curious why he has the d-bag label. I don't doubt it, as he has the haircut to confirm it, but seriously. Did he insult some fans or something?

He's been an ass to the media in the past and reportedly doesn't take coaching really well.

I was referring to Reds44 second point. He had never tasted defeat in high school, or really until he got to AAA last year. Homer had a bit of a "Nuke Laloosh" act and had a "when in doubt, use my fastball" mindset. He found out that AAA hitters can hit his fastball, and it took him a while to come around to what the coaching staff in Louisville was trying to tell him. The organization as a whole was trying to tell him that since he signed, wanted him to develop other pitches. It took him a while to come around to the fact that his fastball is not always going to bail him out.

This year he was getting frustrated by his relativ elack of success and that guys like Volquez, Cueto, Votto, bruce, etc were passing him by on the way to Cincinnati. I do know for a fact that he had more than one run in with the AAA manager and as of a week or two ago they were not speaking.

I don't think he's a bad guy, he was fine in the dealings I had with him, but he's earned that label.

He's also one of thse guys that particularly don't like baseball, but just happen to be good at it.

Prior to tonight’s game, the Reds returned from a rehabilitation assignment and reinstated from the 15-day disabled list OF Norris Hopper and optioned to Class AAA Louisville RHP Homer Bailey.

Hopper has been on the 15-day DL since 4/23 with a nerve irritation in his right elbow...in 6 rehab apps at Louisville and Sarasota he is hitting .292 (7-24).

Bailey went 0-3, 8.76 in 3 starts for the Reds.

The Reds have not named a starting pitcher for Saturday’s game at Yankee Stadium.
