Obviously I'm still watching and hoping for the amazing story to play itself out to completion; however, I'm upset because I can't watch the game tonight... stupid law school summer class. :x

Fresno State and Georgia are looking like they're playing a "First to 20 Wins" game. It's 11-6 Fresno State with 2 outs in the bottom of the fourth. Fresno State has batted around for the second straight inning and they still have runners on 1st and 3rd with five runs in, after six scoring last inning. Georgia has scored in all four innings.

And to think I was so disappointed that I turned my DVR off when it was 5-0 Georgia in the top of the third. :doh:

 

 

Who knew that the simple act of me turning off the recording would be the incentive to propel Fresno to 19 runs!

Georgia gets the 1st two guys on in the bottom of the 9th down 5 runs. Results in a pitching change now for Fresno State.

The announcers said he set records for most home runs, total bases, extra base hits and RBI's in a championship game. Might as well post the final score as Detwiler 6, Georgia 1.

I've torn that ligament in both hands, and I have no idea how he was able to swing a bat, much less be the best hitter in the finals.

Yes, the ligament in his left thumb is completely torn. They described it as "rolling up" his thumb and he will have to undergo ligament replacement, which they supposedly will take from another part of his body.
