At what point should we begin to doubt the Tigers?

If it's going to take 95 wins to win the Central, as many think it will, they are going to have an absurdly tough time getting there.

 

well shoot i guess they're basically eliminated, what with 7 whole losses. might as well give up now.

 

In the history of the major leagues, no team that has started 0-7 has ever made the playoffs. They're going to have a rough time overriding all that history. Not saying it can't be done, but they've put themselves in a very bad position now.

They're 5 games back with 155 to go. They're a long, long way off from having to worry.

 

Long, long way? I don't think so. They have to win a game pretty soon and stem the bleeding. They may be a long way from being eliminated, but they are not a long way from having to worry.

A lot of the standings are upside down right now. The O's whom practically everyone picked to finish last have only lost 1 game last time I checked. In recent years teams have been able to dig themselves out of holes.
