I know most of you would rather make love to a paper shredder than hear about something relating to my job - but...well..I guess go grab the paper shredder. I think this is relevant enough to post.

Today before the game Rich Hill was throwing a side session. Rothschild was working with him on where he lands his right foot when he throws. He was apparently landing too far to the (facing the plate) left hand side of the mound or something. Plus he was still doing that sweeping-foot thing I think has been talked about in the past. Anyway - Hill tried it for about 20 minutes - said "it feels different, but it feels good." and apparently by the end of the session he got it because not only was Rothschild saying "perfect" after every pitch but his fastball was popping the mitt noticeably louder.

Also, as for Howry - Rothschild was talking to Lester Strode and Strode asked what was wrong with Howry or whatever. He said that his shoulders were off-line. They were tilted at an angle when he threw instead of being level.

That's all I've got. Anyway, thought it was worth sharing.

Thanks for the "insider" knowledge. I'd imagine this kinda stuff happens all the time. It's not hard for someone's mechanics to become off.

Probably. But it was the first time this season out of the three or so side sessions i've seen that Larry has even corrected anything.
