i'm pretty pissed at myself for forgetting hamilton.

nick swisher hit 2 homers today. i need him to get his head out of his rear to have any chance. i also stupidly bailed on jack cust, thinking that his poor start and the frank thomas signing meant the end for him. he's now got 11 bombs.

yeah, same here... i actually thought i had a decent sleeper in ankiel, but hamilton is just crazy this year. he still has a chance of getting injured though.

since i dropped cust and added markakis, cust has hit 10 hr and markakis has hit 7

a special f you to mark teixeira, travis hafner, nick swisher and adam laroche for their performances this year.

Posted

I concur about Hafner.

BUT ... on a better note for me...

Marcus Thames went 2-for-4 with two homers as the Tigers lost on Monday night.

His last seven hits are all home runs. Impressively, Thames hit both his homers off of the right-handed Tim Lincecum. He finished the night with three RBI, bringing his total to 28. Surprisingly, he has a .209 average and .901 OPS against lefties, and a .273 average and .869 OPS against righties. The Tigers are giving him an extended look as a part of their everyday lineup, and so far he's taking advantage.

THAMES, FTW! \:D/

Drop Hafner

Add Uggla

EDIT: also I looked at the entry thread

i chose my wildcard as J.D. Drew not Wily Mo Pena. I just want to make sure Drew's home runs are being counted

don't know who karenmac has but I do know that since June 21st, my team has only hit 3 home runs... so yeah. Someone might be catching up to me soon

brinoch and JimSorgi are awfully close too, but here's what The Logan vs karenmac looks like:

The Logan: Howard, Pujols, Braun, Swisher / Uggla, ARam, DLee, Utley, Cust, Pence, Markakis, Bay, Hamilton

karenmac: Howard, Soriano (dropped today for Wright), Braun, Swisher (dropped today for Uggla), ARam, AGonzalez, Zimmerman, Utley, Bay, Willingham, Jacobs, Ankiel

According to my calcs, The Logan is at 191 and I'm at 185, so was able to gain a bit this week. As always, Southpaw's tally will be the correct one :)

OK, time to get serious.

Drop Soriano

Add David Wright

Drop Swisher

Add Uggla

Done... although the first move is a curious one.

Thanks Southpaw...since it was getting near the ASB, and I had a transaction to burn, and knew Fonzie wouldn't be his old self for a while...and Wright was hot-ish...3 HRs in the last couple of weeks.

Transaction #2:

Drop Hafner, Add Uggla

Sorry, Aramis Fan, you've already used both 1st half transactions. One on April 19th and one on June 7th. You'll have to ride it out 'til the ASB.

Wow, I thought I did but I guess I'm too stupid to remember/find them

Hafner's really letting me down.

Edit: Damn I swapped out Granderson for Sexson :banghead:

I'm surprised I'm so close to 1st.
