I don't think any team can hope to jump from last to competing in one year(at least not smaller markets). What they can hope to do is play exciting enough baseball that fans start to come back to the stadium. If they feel that 2-3 years from now they can compete then the time to start fielding a real team is now.

Yeah I agree with that. I really like a lot of what Moore has done. I really like Moustakas a lot better than Vitters. I really think they made the right choice there. I think Gordon has a breakout year here this year. He made huge strides during the year. Butler is gonna be great, I just wonder if he will ever be able to play a position. He is like a younger Braun. I would be selling high on Grienke were I Moore though.
