He was picked up in the Rule 5 Draft by the Tigers and then had TJS. He had to stick on the Tigers roster all of next season (at least 90 games + DL) to be Tiger property and I guess they didn't think that would happen. They probably released him through waivers in hopes that the Cubs would pass and they could keep him and send him to the minors. Looks like the Cubs wanted him.

Thanks, Raisin. I'm glad we got him back. I liked him when the Tigers got him from us and now hopefully he'll come back stronger after this surgery.

I'd rather have Blevins or Rapada back so the Cubs could dump Ohman once and for all. :-(

I'd definitely prefer Blevins over Campy, Ohman, Pignatiello, Rapada or Eyre.

 

I wonder what role Campusano might have played in the Rapada to Detroit trade.
