He is spose to start tomorrow against the Padres. I just talked to my best friend who is the head of concierges at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles and is taking care of David Wells. Wells was staying at the hotel for the rest of the season seeing as they had just picked him up from the Padres. He had told my friend that the dodgers cut him. How true this is we will have to wait and see what tomorrow brings. I believe my friend that told me this though.

i have my doubts about this source.

agreed. david wells hasn't set the world on fire in los angeles, but he hasn't been bad either. he's basically giving the dodgers his maximum ability at this point in his career.

Which brings me to another question....if a player is traded to another team midseason (like a rent-a-player), does that player usually just stay at a hotel for the rest of the season? Man, that would suck.

Eh, at least they can afford the nice hotels and nice rooms. Minor leaguers everywhere would envy them!
