I really like this league we have. It's been a lot of fun. Also, I like the set-up where we only keep a small number of players. A friend I work with also plays in a league that is similar in set-up.

Beginning this year they inserted a new rule which adds a twist to their keepers. (They keep four rather than three, BTW).

They have a three year limit to keeper status. Beginning this year, they decided that after a player is kept three years, he has to be allowed back into the draft. You don't have to keep a player three years and it only applies to those who were designated a keeper. So if you let a player go, only to draft him again, after that year, he'd still have three years as a keeper if you wanted to.

To be fair, they didn't go back...so even players who have been kept since their league's inception still could be kept for three years starting now.

They liked the idea because it would mean that eventually all players would find their way back into the draft pool. I thought I'd throw it out there and we could spend the whole season to discuss it and all. Even if we decided to go this way, it really wouldn't change anything until three years down the road.

Anyway...just an idea.
