Improved quote system.

I only know basic HTML, so I am no expert. But would it be possible to upgrade the forum as to include code that when you quote someone, it only quotes the very last post in a strain of quotes.

It looks cleaner. And usually you are responding to the last reply anyway. So why not eliminate all of those 4,5,6 or more replys from showing up over and over again and cluttering the forum. Many have asked posters to not do that, infact when I do it I manually delete all but the last post. But people still keep raking up large quote strains. So the best way to eliminate it would be to change the way the quote system works.

When I upgrade to phpbb3, it has a system that allows a limit to the quote depth. I most certainly won't put it at one as there are often debates where more than one quote level is appropriate, but might implement it a higher number.

I do that frequently too. Sometimes that results in a quote being attributed to the wrong poster; unless one is careful it is easy to delete a level of quote without deleting the name of the poster.
