In the course of 2 weeks, I'll be seeing:

MLB: D-Rays at Indians

AAA: Indianapolis @ Columbus

AA: Altoona Curve

A: State College Spikes

Pretty sweet. If only there were a Low and Advanced Full Season A-Ball team nearby...

OMG, I just looked at the Clippers' roster. Holy Crap! It's a failed MLB'er wasteland:

Manny Alexander

Tim Redding

Jerome Williams

Brent Abernathy

Robin Jennings

Jason Simmontachi

Jermaine Van Buren

D'Angelo Jiminez

Abraham Nunez

All those former big leaguers, and the team is in last. WOW

I was listening to the Clippers against the Red Wings last weekend. They've got the other ex-Cub Michael Restovich, too.

Is van buren the kid we traded to the Red Sox a couple of seasons ago?

the very one

I never understood that. He was wiping the floor with AAA hitting, and then we trade him, and he never goes anywhere.

Yeah, usually people do better after we trade them...

Not just that, a failed Cubs wasteland. Jennings, Alexander, Williams, Van Buren, and Restovich. Jennings is the only one I don't recall if actually played at the major league level with the Cubs, but he was once a highly touted outfield prospect in the system.

Baseball reference says he played a whopping 45 games with zero home runs and six RBI.
