I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Rob Bowen has a home run today, and possibly in his first AB.

 

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Bowen won't play today, or even be with the team for the game. He just got traded today. It'll probably take him a day to get settled in and ready to go in Texas.

 

It's being reported that Barrett is starting for San Diego, so why not Bowen for the Cubs? It's actually a little shorter of a flight coming east with the tailwind.

2-6 with a 6.56 ERA actually. He shut down the Pirates last start for 8 shutout innings, so hopefully that was an aberration and the Cubs can bring a few runs home tonight.

Well, let's see. Hopefully Jones can continue his last 2 games (4 times on base and 2 doubles in the last 2 games).

 

Theriot has now started 5 consecutive games at SS.

 

Fontenot was being considered for the 2 spot because of how well he was doing-I guess Lou decided to move him to 5 instead while he's hot.

i'd got to imagine he is with the team, barrett is in San Diego and already had a press conference...in which he laughed and covered his face before answering the question how was it playing for lou piniella...
