not exactly a shining day in jim hendry's career.

True...we could have shipped Sosa off to NY and had Soriano about five years younger.

Good, you have #600. Now retire and leave baseball to guys who can actually play.

I was gonna attempt to look up stats to refute this...but I can't find any.

Oh, well.

The final nail in the coffin. No need to stress your heart anymore, Jim. Time's a comin' to hop on that big boat and head out to sea, forever.

though i'm not so sure the theme from the natural is fitting.

Excellent.

They do it for everybody.

Did they do it for Juan Gon, too?

No. 600. Great for him. Why couldn't he have done it against a different team, though. This is all that we'll here about tomorrow.

Just cover your eres.

I don't care about that, yeah.

It's the Cubs. Come on, we all knew deep down inside Sammy was getting his little slice of poetic justice against us.

True true. I'm very happy for sammy though.

Babe Ruth is crying somewhere. Like the sign someone did for Bonds said...he did it Booze, Whores, Cigars and Hot Dogs, how did you do it?

How many millions did Cubs give to Sammy Sosa to play baseball? 100 million?

The home run better not be seen as some sort of revenge.

I'm sure Sammy did it with all those things also.

Ruth did it on hotdogs and beer, Aaron did it with class, Bonds did it with steroids, how did you do it, Sammy?

A hot wife, plenty of Samba music blaring, and a little dominican "spice" 8-)

Well, he's not going for 700, is he?

You'd have to include Willie Mays in that since it's 600.

Paying him market value for his production doesn't make it alright for them to crap all over him and his Cub career just because he left the last game of a frustrating season a few innings early.

The idea of it being revenge is stupid, though. I'd think of it more as poetic justice.

This is a depressing game. I mean I'm happy for Sammy, but as a whole this team is depressing.

That's just how it is, has been, and always will be.

Thanks for cheering me up!
