Glad to see him doing well - for a minute I got him confused with Brendan Ryan, who's never been in the Cub organization, but did play SS in Peoria for the Chiefs when they were still affiliated with St. Louis. Too many SS's named Brendan!

I remember him. I was just telling a buddy how lucky the Cubs were in that trade. We got a few uninjured games from Nomar and a young kid with a lot of promise that we've promptly turned into a bench/platoon player. Solid.

Hendry has been a bad GM for quite some time. The fact that everyone is just now realizing how bad he is, notwithstanding. He's gotten amazingly little out of the great farm system that he built up.
