5x5 12 team deep rostered roto team. Just traded Crisp, Atkins, Germano, and Carmona for Kinsler and Dye. I needed to open up the roster spots and wanted to sell high on Germano and Carmona. Thought I'd buy low on Kinsler and Dye given their BABIPs and my need of power.

What do y'all think.

My team will stand as

C-Barrett

1B-Berkman

2B-Kendrick

SS-Rollins

3B-Braun

CI-Pena

MI-Durham

OF-Manny

OF-Holliday

OF-Griffey

OF-Dye

UT-Victorino

BN-Tulo

BN-Kinsler

BN-Taveras

BN-Gordon

BN-Theriot

DL-Baldelli

plan on picking up E.Encarnacion with one of my extra spots

SP-Smoltz (I just saw him walking down Mich Ave.)

SP-The Unit

SP-Beckett

SP-J. Shields

RP-Wagner

RP-Valverde

P-Reyes

P-

DL-Hughes

DL-Harden

DL-Pedro

I hope Kinsler turns it around for your team....

Okay I hope he does the same for one of mine, too... but Dye is coming around and Kinsler has been subpar for the last month. Hopefully Kinsler will figure it out. Crisp sucks, Atkins is atrocious, and you did trade high on some guys. Carmona was horrendous last year, and this year he's been good, but he has a low K rate. I don't think he'll keep it up Germano is not going to stay this good. His minor league numbers are mediocre. I'd say you pulled a good one. A great one if Kinsler turns it around

Yeah, Kinsler went really quickly from overrated to underrated. I think a lot of that had to do with his BABIP which is at .231 right now. His HR/FB was flukishly high at the beginning of the year, but with the power reduction recently his FB% has actually increased. I don't expect him to hit 300 or anything, but he should provide plus power and plus speed. Hell turn it around.

Dye's BABIP is at .256 so hes due to regress to the mean too. I don't expect 2006 Dye, but somewhere inbetween 2005 and 2006. Hes definitely sporting the power and the average will come around.

I have the luxury of buying low on these guys and being able to bench them until they start producing with all the bench spots (hence how I still have Alex Gordon). If Kendrick doesn't turn it around soon, I can pick up Pedroia. And having Taveras and Victorino as backup OFs ain't a bad thing.

Also traded James Shields and Theriot for Burnett and Blanton. Riot just sat on my bench as he got sporadic playing time (my work blocks fantasy so I can't make last second roster moves), so I stopped playing him. Shields has a lucky BABIP (although so does Burnett), but Burnett has an uncharacteristic HR/FB rate, great K rate and plays on a better team. Blanton was kinda a throw in, but he could a decent back of the rotation guy as insurance for some of my injured/injury prone pitchers. His ratios get better every year and overall #s are weighed down by a horrible game earlier in the week. The trade was made yesterday morning so Blantons gem lastnight made me feel better too. I like the way my team is shaping up
