Fire sale starting in Toronto?

Towers and Ohka are available.

Certainly not interested in those two. I would think Rios is the only player on their major league roster we might want. Do they have any interesting prospects?

Adam Lind (South Alabama player, woot woot!)... but they got him for a good while so they probably won't let him go, plus he's their top prospect. But the whole idea of a fire sale is getting rid of all the top expensive talent and keeping the cheap prospects, so I doubt they let any of their young, cheap prospects go.

I think Rios is the only interesting person available that we could use. Every other big name is on either a huge contract, injured, or play a position we aren't in dire need of. I'm sure if they do have a fire sale the only big names they'll keep are Wells (which they have no choice to do, he has a full NTC) and Halladay

I would take a gamble on Josh Towers.

why? his year two years ago was nice, but he has turned into a different pitcher since then. he's giving up more line drives, fewer groundballs, and fewer pop ups. He's making nearly 3m dollars this year on top of that. if i were going to take a gamble on one of those two, it would be Ohka since was at least average last year in the NL Central (97 innings).

Really, the Cubs shouldn't be looking at either guy, since Guzman (ugh) is almost definitely going to be at least as good as both of them this year.
