A trade

Hey -

 

KMac and I made a trade in the new players yahoo league. It's already done, but I wanted to know what everyone thinks, cause I'm new at this:

 

I gave:

 

Robinson Cano and

Magglio Ordonez

 

for

 

Brandon Phillips and

Lance Berkman

 

I think it's a pretty fair deal. Cano is better than Phillips, and Berkman is a good bit better than Ordonez, and he has 1B and OF eligibility, but Ordonez is red hot, and Berkman's not hitting for power or a particularly impressive average right now. I needed SB, and Phillips is likely to have a lot more of those than any of the other three players. Plus, I thought I might have to bench my regular 1B, Mark Teixiera, until he stopped sucking, but it looks like he's heating up, so I can just put Berkman in my OF.

I like it for you. Yeah it seems fairly even, but Berkman is starting to catch fire. I picked him up in a trade a few weeks ago when he was rock bottom and now I'm sitting back and watching all his numbers improve.
