Why are they comparing this "Asian Explosion" of ballplayers to Jackie Robinson?

 

I don't remember any Asian water fountains, or pushing Asians to the back of the bus. No offense, but the comparision is apples and oranges.

 

They say that sex sells, and they're right.

 

It just so happens that racism also sells, even the appearance of racism in this case.

 

The two movements are completely different, obviously, but the media is actually not capable of not putting everything in a racial context. Stoking fear and hatred where there is none is merely a byproduct of shameless reporting that gets them ratings.
