Edward Campusano's season has ended; he's having Tommy John surgery.

Campusano was examined on Monday by noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews after initial tests on his elbow last week were inconclusive. The follow-up exam showed a partial ligament tear, according to Campusano's agent, Bill Rego.

Well, we almost went the entire spring training without a mention of Dr. Evil. (AKA Dr. James Andrews) :wink:

Now he only needs to stick with the Tigers' big league team 90 days next season. Not sure how likely that is since he'll be coming back from TJS, though.

 

Poor guy. :( He has GREAT stuff but has been hurt so much.

I thought that with the injury that will put him on the DL for part of the season (but in this case the full season), he either had to be on the roster 90 days this year or else he would have to stick the full year next year.
