I know it's spring training, but the same thing happens all the time during the season as well.....does anyone else wonder how a team goes from getting shut out on 4 hits one day, to scoring 27 runs the next, and then goes back to looking bad the next day? Facing a rather hot or cold pitcher plays a role, but it seems like entire teams either get hot or cold sometimes.

 

We can't draw any conclusions from this game because of the lineup; not just some of the players but the order in which some of the guys are batting.

 

The chances are high that the Cubs would have scored more runs in the first inning with the normal lineup.
