Quakers, I never saw that statue in Salzburg, you make it Mozart's place of birth?

Also, I would've suggested going to Zell am See/Kapron in the Summer.

Yes, I saw Mozart's birthhouse (I will post a picture later). The tour I was with (organized by the school where I was learning German), did not go to the lake region. But I want to go back!!! Unfortunately our tour of Salzburg was too short. We hiked around this palace's gardens, went into town and had a tasty lunch, hiked up to the castle, and then had about 1 hour to hike around the inner-city, before heading back to Vienna. Thanks for the tip on Salzburg though. A beautiful little city (full of tourists though).

The statue is located at Mirabelle(sp?) palace. It is on the other side of the river from the fort on the hill.

I never made it to the other side of the river. I can't remember the name of the large church that still remains in my mind.

Most of our time was spent by Lake Zeller.

This current picture is taken from the garden looking towards the castle.

I think i know the church you are talking about. It is the main cathedral in the old town. They were working on it when I was there. I will post some pictures of it later.

Edit - I think you can see the spires and dome just under the castle.
