The Cubs appear poised to make a run at the playoffs, they have the seventh highest payroll in the majors at $94 million.

 

The average major league makes $2.866,000 a year, far above the league minimum of $327,000.

And I'm not sure what $2.866,000 is.

Probably similar to $2,866,000...just a wild guess.

Micah and his wife are hands down to of the finest people that you could ever communicate with. I remember media day last year in Jackson and Micah's #1 concern was taking care of things on the field so he could go and find a place for his family to live once the season started. It's easy to pull for the guy and I certainly hope that he makes it.

I decided to check in with the Hoffpauirs and received some good news:

 

Micah got a call yesterday and he's leaving in the morning for big league camp.

The article did have some typos. His salary was suppose to be $12,000, not $2,000...not sure about the 94 million comment!
