What's the point?

Dec 17, 2006 | 11:20AM |

Just curious?

What's the point of switching up QBs mid-game when you're 3-10 and your starter is only in there because the guy normally ahead of him on the depth chart is out of commission with a ruptured spleen?

Maybe we're wrong, but anyone else think Tim Rattay is the long-term answer in Tampa Bay?

Anybody who thinks Gradkowski is the future of Tampa Bay is gravely mistaken. He looks dreadful.

Fine, but he has a better chance of being the future than Rattay does. The point is that Rattay doesn't really buy you anything.

We're gonna get a Peanut pick-6 this drive.

I'd love to see Peanut do that to cap a great season, but I'd also love to see Hester pick-6 one.

Never mind, Rattay isn't accurate enough to throw interceptions.

No but Gradkowski doesn't look like the answer for anything with this team...I think Rattay is auditioning for a backup job for next year. Gradkowski will likely get cut or be third string.

Precisely.

"We've been bringing him along slowly every week and we thought this week would be the perfect time to get him a few passes. Maybe we'll get him a few more in the second half." - Lovie on Hester playing offense.
