Sign Huff, move Soriano to CF and the Cubs would have a very solid line up.

Soriano

DeRosa

Lee

Huff

Ramirez

Jones/Murton

Barrett

Theriot

I've decided to stop putting Izturis in the line up from this point forward. It's better for my own health.

If you're going to do that, at least put Murton second and don't platoon him with Jones. And I'd never ever bat Huff in front of ARam.

Assuming Jones is getting the bigger percentage of at bats in a platoon with Murton (more RHP than LHP), is why I put DeRosa 2nd.

Aramis seems to like the 5th spot in the order more than 4th. Or is it just my imagination?

If Hendry likes Murton as much as he claims to, I don't see Jones eating up many of his ABs. So I'd put Murton 2. I don't know where ARam likes to hit, but I'm not putting a guy who OPS'd about .800 last year in the 4 spot instead of ARam.

They aren't using a metric to say Huff has been more productive. They're using run production numbers:

Huff (01-06): 129 HR, 428 RBI, 377 Runs

Drew (01-06): 99 HR, 327 RBI, 371 Runs

# of games played in that duration:

Huff: 828

Drew: 707

Just sayin.

Sure, of course. I'm just answering the question as to how this writer is saying Huff was more productive than Drew the past 5 years. Hitting metrics aren't the only way to measure things. And let's not discredit Huff for staying healthy.

There's a difference between being more productive and blowing somebody away. It's not like Huff has been a rock of stability. He's missed time, and he's disappeared even when playing.
