Ken Rosenthal[/url]"]The Indians have found a new left fielder, reaching agreement with free agent David Dellucci on a three-year, $11.5 million contract, FOXSports.com has learned.

The deal is contingent on Dellucci passing a physical. The examination is expected to take place Thursday in Cleveland.

The signing of Dellucci, a left-handed hitter, will enable the Indians to play Shin-Soo Choo in right field and move Casey Blake to first base. Jason Michaels, a right-handed hitter, likely will play left against certain left-handed pitchers.

it's a nice signing for them, but three years for a 33 y.o. lifetime platoon player seems a little strange to me. I guess the money is good in this market tough.

Leave Jones where he is, he will be fine.

His salary is relatively cheap, based on the current market. Hopefully with a healthy Lee and Barrett, he shouldn't have to shoulder the load. He doesn't have to be a star, in the current lineup he can be a pretty good complementary player.

Ramirez

Lee

Soriano

Barrett

Possibly Murton.

I can live with JJ being the 5/6th best hitter on this team.

So much for Jones being a part of a Westbrook deal... damn.

Great signing for the Tribe.

Yes, and good too. Jones in Center Field will put up around an .800 OPS, more if he's platooned, for a very fair wage in this current market.

Open the checkbooks and sign some starters Jim, and keep Jacque.
