Rick Kranitz signs one year deal with marlins

Pitching coach Rick Kranitz -- a longtime member of the Cubs organization who worked with Girardi last season in Florida and would have accompanied the manager to Chicago -- agreed to a one-year deal Saturday to return to the Marlins and work under new manager Fredi Gonzalez

Not sure if this means that hendry has made up his mind but it sure looks that way. I think most of us could agree that Kranitz was big advantage of hiring girardi

It could be that he hasn't made a final decision but Girardi's out of the running (for example, it could be down to Piniella or Bochy).

Uhh, Rothschild is probably coming back since Sweet Lou looks like he'll be managing the Cubs.

I'd almost guarentee that Larry was coming back to Chicago even if Joe was hired. I think that Hendry would want an "experienced" pitching coach around the newbe Girardi.

I'm not opposed to rothschild coming back but I'd rather him be a bench coach or something else than the pitching coach.
