Hawks lose 3-2 in a shootout. The shootout went to six shooters with the Wild finally winning it on the 6th try. The Hawks scored two shootout goals to the Wild's three. At least we got a point out of it, but it was a game that we easily should've won.

 

Are you crazy did you not see all those posts the Wild hit.

 

I listened online and obviously heard about it. But we had a 1-0 lead and a 2-1 lead, not to mention we had two chances in the shootout to win the game. I'll definitely take the point at a tough place to win at.

 

We have a winnable game on Thursday against the Coyotes. Two points in that game would be appreciated :)

Yeah, after our game against the Coyotes, we travel back to Minnesota. I really don't understand that at all, but the schedules that were made post-lockout don't really make that much sense anyway.

In a shootout the puck is NOT allowed to go behind the shooter.

 

Not true all you have to do is make forward movement toward the goal. Guess what it was reviewed. Not a single Blackhawk Coach was questioning the call.

I'm disappointed in the SO loss, but like someone mentioned before, I thought the GW SO goal for the Wild should have been disallowed. First off, I don't know how you can do a spin-o-rama and not stop moving the puck forward, which is illegal in the SO, and it also looked like Bouchard interfered with Khabibulin before he put the puck in. Looked very questionable to me. Vrbata also had an excellent chance to win the game in the SO, he deked out Fernandez but couldn't put it into the empty side, that one really hurt. Regardless, it was another good effort and at least they got a point. Thursday against Phoenix should be winnable for this team.

Ugh, these SO losses sting. I'll take the point, but you have to get 2 points at home against a team like the Coyotes.

 

Now we go back to Minnesota on Saturday night to face the Wild again. Hopefully we can snatch two points up there.

fricken Havlat. get back already. two close games like this, he probably makes the difference between 2 points and 4 points.

He can stay away for just one more game (Saturday). After Saturday I will leave this thread until January 14th. I did notice the game Saturday is going to be on Comcast Sports. I like that. To bad it's a guarantee I will not be able to watch it on January 14th. Stupid Bill Wuerz.

That power play goal right before the end of the period stings.

 

I'm glad my Wild got that goal after getting ripped off on the no goal just minutes before that.
