Tom Gordon trying to close the door for the Phillies as they hold on to a precarious 1 run lead.

Dodgers score 2 runs in the top of 6th on a 2 run triple by JD Drew to close the gap. Rockies up 4-3.

Urgh...I should just stop watching. The last four times I turned to the Cubs game, these things immediately happened:

1) Blanco missed a squeeze sign, and Murton was tagged out in a rundown between 3rd and home.

2) Clark hit a home run.

3) Walk

4) Walk

Does anyone know why Brian Giles isn't starting tonight for the Padres? Pretty odd time to just take a night off.

Cards and Pads still tied at 1 in the top of the 8th. Pads have a runner on first with one out.

Giles has a knee contusion and a sprained right ankle. He's listed as day-to-day.

Astros down to their final out with a runner on second.

Pirates intentionally walk Berkman to get to Luke Scott.

(PS: Anyone notice that two of the younger players of our division rivals, Chris Duncan and Luke Scott, have been off the charts? They can't really be that good can they?)

Luke Scott ties the game. Unbelievable.

I have them on my fantasy team, and yeah they are that good.

Especially Duncan. He came up earlier in the year, struggled a bit, got sent down again, and this time is just raking the ball. This guy can hit homeruns like nobody's business.

Luke Scott could just be an aberration at this point, but I think Duncan is for real.

Well, I kind of misspoke when I describe Luke Scott as young. He's 28, but he's been damn good.

Chris Duncan, on the other hand, is 25 and has been playing far and above what his minor league numbers would suggest. I really have a hard time believing he has legitimate 40 homerun power, but leave it to the Cardinals to strike paydirt on a decent (but rather pedestrian) 25 year old prospect.

Well I'd trust those minor league numbers more, but he certainly has been mashing the ball since he last got called up.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him start next April.

Francisco Cordero looks like he could audition for the Red Foxx role on a remake of Sanford and Son.

Uh oh, bases clogged for Mayberry.
