Trying to think of some Rich Hill metaphors:

Rich Hill = a ticket out of Hell

I think of him more like a momentary cool breeze off the lake on a 105 degree day.

I really think he has been the only positive thing about this team the

past month.

If I'm not mistaken Hill's ERA has to be below 3.00 post ASB.

Before todays game it was 3.05 since being called up July 27th.

The really important thing is that Hill is putting up these numbers when a lot of guys (especially in the minors) start hitting the wall b/c of innings pitched. Good stuff, dominating at the end of the season like this.

IF Rich gets the win today he'll pull into 2nd place in Cubs wins (by players still on the team) and third when counting Maddux's wins.

What's sadder? that 6 wins will be good for 2nd or 3rd depending on how you look at it, or that all 6 will have come since 7/27?
