Rusch popped out (foul) to first base

Pierre singled to right field

Bynum flied out to left field

Ramirez doubled to left field (ground rule), Pierre to third

Jones walked

Lee singled to left field , Pierre & Ramirez scored, Jones to second

Barrett doubled to right center field , Jones and Lee scored

Marte in to pitch for Pittsburgh

Pagan flied out to center field

Jeez Jim, you better have one hell of an offseason to get this team anywhere close to being able to consistently win.

Under your scenerion Hendry would HAVE to sign both Soriano and Lee and one of the big name free agent pitchers. And seeing as I have no confidence in Hendry ability to judge the free agency market, I seriously doubt the Cubs will be any better next yr, and in fact, it wouldn't surprise me if they are WORSE next yr.

Well I just got in from a MD golf tournament where the number of beers almost equaled the number of holes. Then I turned on this mess. Fortunately, it's still early enough to have a few more.
