Wow, Muldowney has been great today: 5 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 7 K, 2 BB. Darrin Downs now in and struggling in the 6th with runners at first and second and none out. Boise leads it 8-0.

Mesa down 6-4 after 5. Robert Hernandez struggled quite a bit: 3.1 IP, 6 R, 3 ER, 5 H, 1 BB, 1 K. Rundle is 1 for 2 and Andersen is 0 for 2.

yeah, people were getting pretty much nothing but current i-cubs. i heard one person say they got prior. i may have gotten the best of the 3,000.

Did the I-Cubs provide any sort of list on their website of players that would be included in the giveaway? Either way, that's a tremendous pull considering the odds.

not that i'm aware of...their website sucks now that milb has taken it over. i'm usually not lucky like that, so i'm pretty happy. i was just hoping for a decent i-cub...pie, hill, marshall, etc. i'll take the future HOFer though. :D

I guess Patterson takes offense to people saying he's not ready to be promoted!
He's not ready to be promoted to the Cubs. :D

How many people don't think he could outhit Cedeno in the big leagues right now?

Daytona Beach News-Journal[/url]"]"I'm a big believer in starting pitching dictates the flow of the game, and that's what happened," Cubs manager Buddy Bailey said. "Our guy [Mark Holliman] couldn't get the ball in the zone, worked slow, threw a lot of pitches and we didn't play good defense behind him because we were on our heals."

Daytona starter Mark Holliman (7-11) lost his sixth straight decision.

...

Cubs right fielder Ryan Harvey was removed from the game after running gingerly down the first-base line on a pop out in the seventh inning. "I think he must have had a leg problem that he didn't tell us about," Bailey said. "It didn't look like he was running good going to first base and we didn't want him to pull a muscle out there."
