Atkins tossing another gem tonight. 5ip, 4h, 1r, 2bb, career high 9k...two hits by Ron Garth (HR & 1b)...and one was a 15 footer popped about 200 feet in the air....reed and norwood stared at each other and it fell.

has a 6 pitch inning and a 9 pitch inning (2 k in that inning)

great curve tonight. making Wis hitters look foolish.

and Norwood seems to have found his swing which we need desperately!

Thanks, Nathan. With a 6-pitch and a 9-pitch inning, how long do you think he can go? 7?

well since the last inning was 26 pitches he has 70 through 5....the watched pop up would have ended the inning and cost him another 13 pitches...so 7 at the most

plus its a 7-1 game so a good chance to get some guys work who havent pitched much this week (mueller, avery, maybe evenson)

It appears as though Penn St. LB Posluszny is playing for the AZL Mariners (okay, maybe it's the wrong one but it's close enough ).

Maybe it's Paul's brother Stanley?

According to his Penn. St. bio he's got an older brother named Stan so I guess it is him.

MiLB has changed their minds about the Mesa game now too. Dolis only went 2IP 3H 3R 1/1 K/BB, Castillo came in for him and has gone 1 inning allowing one hitting.
