Apparently those in the know, like Baseball Prospectus, understand that Dusty ruins young pitchers. If BP thinks so, then there must be stats and stuff that back that up, and since I don't consider myself "in the know", can someone please explain how he does this? Thanks.

Ther's another thread somewhere that shows Wood, Zambrano, and Prior all in the top 11 or so of pitcher abuse points when they've pitch full/mostly full seasons under Baker. That coupled with the high pitcher abuse pts. his guys in SF had and the inconsistent of use of the bullpen are the biggest reasons.

 

The general disdain for young players he has is another in my mind.
