Wow. I have been involved with a number of "Games of the Week" this year. Hopefully I can win one. Contreras and Glavine have had terrible Julys. They need to come back to early season form if I am going to do well in the play-offs.

I feel like I haven't had more than six starts in a week in, well, just about forever.

With Ensberg coming off the DL today, I:

 

- activated him at U

- reserved Gomes

- placed Weeks on the DL

Oh well. I put him on reserve (no room on my DL :( ) and picked up Eyre off waivers and put him in the lineup.

After two days I lead by a whopping 0.05 points. I got negative points from Burnett, but Bush did quite nicely for me in his first start after I traded for him.

 

If I do wind up winning this week, it will be the second week in a row I beat a team with exactly the opposite record.

I currently lead by almost 17, and I doubt that any points my opponent gets from Flash Gordon tonight and my overnight deductions for total bases allowed would overcome that spread. And I still have points for Burnett's QS to be added.
