I don't get the IBB. Sure it sets up a force, but Anderson can't hit anything.

Dusty loves the IBB almost as much as Neifi

That's because walks can't hurt you. Only hits can.

That's the funny thing; according to the manager, walks kill us when our relievers give them up in late innings; they always come around to score. However, it's for the best that our hitters stay aggressive and swing at whatever comes flying toward the plate, no matter what.

Yes....the legend that is Dusty.

So 1st base is open and we pitch to Uribe, but put Anderson on base. Dusty is awesome.

READ THIS:

ANDERSON HAS A HIGHER

ON BASE PERCENTAGE

THAN JUAN URIBE

WHO CARES ABOUT HIS 177 AVERAGE, HE'S HITTING BETTER THAN URIBE.

Uribe 677 ops

Anderson 581 ops

Ummm, he's getting on base better not hitting. You pitch to him chances are he's not going to hit it he might walk because he's patient but they didn't even try to get him out.

Who gives a crap if his OBP is a bit higher anyway? It's still only 271.

You really went out on a limb there, didn't you?

You shouldn't have to think about it -- you should already know if it'll be a success.

2 outs with Konerko at the plate. Not sure how. I had to step away sorry.

But there's no difference between an intentional walk and a regular walk here. Batting average is the only factor to consider (aside from bunting, potential for sac flies, etc) when you're thinking about an IBB.

Konerko draws a walk.

If there is one person in MLB who could clog the bases Konerko is that man. I think he is pulling a plow behind him.
