Draftniks will be happy to know that 2006 9th rounder Cliff Andersen has been signed, as he saw some playing time in Mesa today.

Also, I have no clue who the guy who blew the save for Mesa is.

Randy Brown was drafted in the 33rd round by the Cubs in 04. he was taken as an OF but has converted into a P now.

I was wondering if that was him. However, I figured he was in the OF.

Should be interesting to see how this turns out.

ITI has a post-game Q and A session with Miller

Of his 39 pitches, 26 went for strikes. Miller’s fastball was consistently clocked between 82 and 85 mph. His breaking balls were in the high-60s to low-70s and he featured a sharp sweeping, diving movement across the plate that tumbled away from right-handed hitters.

Hope that's a misprint. 82-85 mph fastball isn't going to cut it. Not that I expect much from Miller anyway.

Yikes. Unless he's the second coming of Greg Maddux that isn't gonna work.

Worst. Offseason. Ever. :x
