6-1 Jaxx to the bottom of the 5th. The broadcaster for the Stars is commenting on how Negron has killed them since joining the Jaxx.

Are you guys able to hear the game??

I completely lost the feed and it wouldn't reconnect. I swapped to the Huntsville feed.

Not a terrible first outing from Sean.

Agreed. Considering that it was his debut in a playoff chase on the road before a crowd of 8,000 I am very impressed. Hopefully the Jaxx will hold on and get Sean his first AA victory!

Great job Sean!

Gallagher last started a week ago today. He has always gotten a lot of swinging Ks with good movement on his pitches; he'll have to adjust to more advanced hitters who won't chase pitches out of the zone as often. I'm pleased with this as his first outing. He's the youngest player on either team by a good portion; I'm wondering how many younger are playing in the league.

I can't tune in the DJaxx broadcast either. :(

Very nice to hear about the Chiefs at Wrigley!

The Lookouts complete a 2 H shutout of the Smokies in Sevierville. The Lookouts drop their magic # to 1 with 2 to play.

Does that gun used during the DJaxx game tend to read high? According to BA, Gallagher sat in the 88-90 mph range most of last year and wasn't considered very projectable (to add more velocity). I would think that if his fastball sits in the 91-94 range and touches 96 at times, that would really give him a pretty high standing as a prospect.

I believe there are reports that his fastball has picked up a tick this year, and he's been reading higher on the guns at A ball too.

He was supposedly hitting up to 100-101 in Dayton so I think that the gun was fairly accurate. In his interview with BA, he said that he added some strength and endurance in the offseason that has allowed him to really pump up his velocity.

He's added some velocity since last season. I've heard too many independent reports to think otherwise.

He was likely pumped for tonight's game and after having a week off, probably did rachet it up another tick.

According to Ron, Sean added height and weight between last year and this.
