MiLB's Mock Draft 5-24

I just noticed that MiLB has been projecting the first round of the rookie draft. In their latest projection done yesterday, they have the Cubs taking 3B Chris Marrero. Their description of him looks pretty good, but I'm a bit leary with the Cubs' track record of 1st round HS position players from Florida. They also mention that the Cubs are very interested in C Hank Conger and 1B/OF Travis Snider.

All project well in terms of their power and ability at the plate...but all of them might not end up at the positions they're currently at.

 

Marrero has a good arm, but footwork at 3B is an issue. Conger's defense has been improving behind the dish, but still needs plenty of work. Snider, on the other hand, isn't very athletic and will likely end up at 1B or LF. All of them have terrific bats, though.
