I may be losing my advantage in starts. Halladay has been pushed back to Monday and Wood may or may not make his start on Sunday.

Looks like Quakers and I might be facing each other straight up with five starts apiece.

I am sure not offering much competition this week. Maroth is shelled, luckily Detroit came back to win it, Millwood has given up 3 earned runs in three innings. The only thing that is keeping me in it is that Granderson is having quite a week.

Granderson and Beltran have both been great for you. The rest of your team is having an off week.

Looks like Juan gets to catch me with two starts from at least Halladay & Oswalt.

Finally, the Quakers are having a decent night. But it looks like it is a case of too little, too late.

But the bad news is that Maroth's horrid start was due to a bum elbow and he is now on rthe 15 day DL :x .

Due to Moroth being placed on the DL. I activated Johnson (he will not start until Monday), put Nolasco in reserve and picked up a minor leaguer.

Well, if I am to have a chance, today is the day. Tim is out of starters and my best two are on the mound (Glavine and Contreras). I really need fanatastic starts out of them, but a 75ish point advantage is going to be tough to overcome in two days.

Where Tim is killing me this week is with his pitching. Mine, outside of Johnson (a nice rookie pick-up it appears) has sucked, while Tim's outside of Wood has been great.

As long as my offense doesn't completely bomb out, I should be okay for the win. I don't think I'll be able to win the week overall, though. That'll drop me to 4-4 against the field. Tough to have the most points in a week with only five starts, though.

Looks like I'll get 8 starts next week versus Juan with Wood being pushed back to Monday. This would be a great time for Kerry to pull it all together!

HBC with a slight advantage over NC. Gonna be a tight one!
VERY slight (1/2 point). Last year there was a week when I lost by less than a point. This could be a repeat for one of us.

argh...one more spot and i'd have had him in the draft.

with three starts left, i should have a decent shot at being high score for the week.

Today will probably decide it. You have quite a few starts to my none. If I can hang close, it will be a really tight finish!

Marshall did his part to help me today. Too bad the Cubs hitters were their usual pathetic, incompetent, lifeless selves so that I only got a QS from Marshall, not a win.

My pitching helped pull a little closer yesterday, but as predicted not nearly close enough. Oh well, barring a huge offense surge, it looks like I am going to suffer my second defeat.

I didn't know if I'd even have a shot with your 3 starts to my 0 yesterday. I probably dodged a bullet with Schilling who didn't get a QS.

As it stands I'm 12.8 behind w/ 2 starts to your 0. I like my chances...... lets see how it plays out!

I don't know how many starts I have next week but this has been a slow week - possibly my first sub 250 week of the year. Hopefully the offense rebounds next week!

Have you guys noticed that the Cubs are really bad this year?

if i blow this 60 point lead, i'm gonna be pissed.

burning bulbs today: 10-19, 4 hr, 7 rbi, 7 runs

damn it! two of my closers' teams are involved in close games, but neither of them even get in. i'm gonna need some points from teix and blalock tonight.

Wright has an awful, awful start and is out before the 4th. Gonzalez gives up 2ER in 1/3 IP for negative points.

Thankfully, Renteria goes on a tear today w/ 15.75 pts.

Cubs suck, btw!

WTG, Kim! Bonds passes the Babe! I was hoping for a broken knee cap before Bonds could catch anyone, but that didn't work out.

It's all going to come down to Padilla's start tonight. If he sucks like Wright did, the overnight deductions for total bases allowed may allow me to sneak by. Maybe I'll luck out by not having any pitchers go today.

Yeah, unless Chavez nets a bunch of points. Those are the only 2 left playing for either of us though.
