This is a quote from Barry Bonds' agent Jeff Borris in regard to the possibility of Bonds coming back next year:

 

"I wouldn't rule out DH as a possibility," Borris told Newsday. "In fact, if he were a DH, I think 1,000 home runs would be within his grasp. Barry approaches rehab as diligently as anybody. If his knee holds up, I wouldn't put 1,000 home runs past him."

 

1,000 home runs??? Is he insane? That's an average of about 35 home runs per season until the age of 50. Not even steroids can pull that off.

I would say 800 is about as reasonably ambitious as anyone should be with Barroids.
