I'll gladly take a Paul O'Neill-esque career from Murton. 20 HR's a year is solid power, he hits for a nice average, draws walks, has speed, and plays good D. I think he'll be a nice, cheap fixture for us in left.

I really like what I've seen from Murton so far. Despite having the same walk rate as Jaque Jones, Matt has been the most patient hitter on this team so far. His Take/Swing ratio is 1.77, even better than Lee's 1.68. When Murton does swing he usually connects, with a 91.2% contact percentage.

He certainly seems comfortable hitting with 2 strikes in the count. It's certainly more pleasurable watching Murton hit with 2 strikes than CPat.
