How valuable is Figgins?

In a 12 team Yahoo Standard 5 x5 Roto league I have the following lineup

 

Willingham

D. Lee

Kent

Ensberg

Peralta

M. Cabrera

Burrell

Luis Gonzalez

Freel at Utility.

 

Winn & B. Molina on the bench.

 

One of the owners in the league offered me Figgins for Cabrera. He has both Reyes and Figgins so he is packed in the SB department. I have not rejected his request, but asked him if he would do Kent for Figgins instead. SB was the one area that I lacked after the draft, but I picked up Freel to help with that. Would you trade either Kent or Cabrera for Figgins?

I definitely wouldn't give up Cabrera and Kent is even questionable. I'm just not very big on guys that help you a lot in one category (steals) but hurt you in many others (HR, RBI, OPS, etc...). I don't know though. You can probably get more for Cabrera though if you wanted to trade him. I think with Freel and Figgins you would never lose SB though, and you have enough power to make up for those two guys, so you could probably afford to lose Kent.

Definitely not for Cabrera, but for Kent thats good value. You already have good power and RBIs. Figgins is not a one category guy, (OPS isnt a category in a 5x5 league) he is obviously one of the top steals player, but he will also hit 300 and score 115 runs. Given the make up of your team, dont overlook the value in runs scored that Figgins brings as well.
