Got my May copy of At the Yard yesterday, and thought I would mention a couple of Cub-related items:

1) "Cubby and the Daytona Cubs", starting on p.11

2) "Catching a Break", starting on p.46 (discussing catching opportunities of Fox, Reyes, & Soto during the WBC)

I wasn't even aware of this magazine. I noticed on their web site that they have a free three-month trial subscription; I signed up for it. The regular subscription rate of $12 per year is very good.

We found it in Clinton, IA last year I think. We've gotten 5-6 issues at this point and have been very pleased with the stories - they've been great. The 3 month free trial will hook you!

At the Yard is a great publication, highly recommended.

They should pay a commission to NSBB for the publicity. If I decide to subscribe to it after the trial subscription expires (which I think is quite likely) it will only be because of the mention here that I even knew about it. :D
