Not sure if this was posted anywhere yet, or if this belongs in transactions, so mods please do what you need to.

 

He said if his contract isn't extended by Saturday, he's putting off talks until the end of the season. It would be a tremendous mistake to not lock him up immediately. Give Derrek Lee whatever he wants, and do it now.

 

Who knows what could happen between now and the end of the season, lock him up now. Don't give him the option of leaving.
