Just thought it would be good to have a thread to crow about your good players, vent about the bad ones, and just to generally chat about happenings in the fantasy league.

I'll start...

Thank goodness I don't have Jon Lieber active....yikes.

How bout Schilling today? Nice game considering the team and the park. Johjima with a HR today as well, I think he's gonna be big. Kazmir sure stunk up the joint today though =( Hopefully Schmidt has a big game tonight.

Brandon Webb for Cy Young

I picked Peavy (ERA title, K title, Cy is the next natural step), but Webb is my sleeper. If Arizona gets anything from any other starter on that team, they can make noise in the weak West. It would also help if they call up Drew to replace Counsell.

16 ground outs, 2 air outs, 2 strike outs. In colorado, no less. The man is a machine. "Here's a sinker - try to lift it."

How many games does Zumaya have to play as a reliever before I can put him at that possition, sadly he is not being used as a starter. He had 3 Ks in 2 innings last night in his major league debut. I wish they were using him as closer while Todd Jones is out but they are using some other loser.

Since he's clearly defined as a reliever, I'll put him there for you.

I appriciate that.

What days are we suppose to make roster changes for the next period? A period is 1 week right? Sunday through Monday? So we should make our roster changes on Sunday? Since we aren't suppose to make changes on a day to day basis correct?

Waivers will run on Sunday nights, so you have from the time games start on Sunday through 30 minutes before the first game time on Mondays to make changes. Players acquired through waivers will be available on Monday mornings. I may change this so that they're available on Sunday morning to make things easier.

Got lifted quite a bit last year. That's not gonna happen again. I'd seriously be surprised if his ERA is over 3.2 ish.

How the heck did I not pick up Valverde when I've got Sisco and Calero in my pen? ](*,)

I made a roster change since Gagne went on the DL, moved Zumaya into my pen place Gagne in reserves untill I can get more info on his chances of pitching again this year, doesnt look good unfortunantly. Still have BJ Ryan and Jenks I guess but I had high hopes for Gagne.

Justin Verlander is the man! 7 innings of shutout ball, 2 hits, 2 bb, and 7 K, and in Texas no less.

So we are going to daily roster changes for period 2 starting tommorow correct?

I love these weekly changes! Shelton would have netted me almost 35 points had I been able to make a lineup change after the first day.

No more whining! Switch to your heart's content.

I have to say it makes being commish a little bit easier. No more wondering if any particular move is legal or not. I just have to look at the usage of minor league rosters to make sure those aren't abused.

BTW - once games start on day 1, you can go ahead and make your lineup changes for day 2 and they won't impact what happens on day 1.
